EAGAN, MN - Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig announced that her office secured $2,290,047 in federal funding for the Rosemount Fire Department.
The funding, which came through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant program will be used to hire nine additional firefighters as the city continues to grow, ensuring that the department can have at least 24 firefighters on duty at all hours. Rep. Craig wrote a letter of supporton behalf of the Rosemount Fire Department in June.
