To remain competitive, the United States must rebuild its defense industrial base - the private sector companies that provide the military with hardware and munitions - and that means more than just facilities and businesses.
That was the message delivered by Michael Cadenazzi, the assistant secretary of war for industrial base policy, during a field hearing before the House Appropriations Committee's defense subcommittee in Santa Clarita, California, Sept. 4.
