Dr. Georgiann Davis, an associate professor of sociology at the University of New Mexico, will present a 45-minute presentation titled "Bearing Witness and Building Knowledge: Intersex Scholar Activism in Practice" in which she will explore what it means to create knowledge as a scholar activist. "In this talk," Davis explains, "I will reflect on how sociocultural studies helped me understand and embrace my lived experience as an intersex queer person.
