Thompson (MS-02), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, and Lou Correa (CA-46) will host a site visit in Detroit, Michigan which will include a press conference urging Trump to open the new Gordie Howe Bridge, a bridge that President Trump has unilaterally kept closed, despite it being ready to open and operate today. Opening the bridge as a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Port of Entry will facilitate efficient travel and trade between the U.S.A and Canada and improve the economies of both nations.
