PIPELINE AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SAFETY ADMINISTRATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: PIPELINE SAFETY: ELIMINATING LIMITATIONS ON WELDERS AND WELDING OPERATORS

WASHINGTON, April 24 -- Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Pipeline Safety: Eliminating Limitations on Welders and Welding Operators.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on April 24 by Paul J. Roberti, Administrator.

Summary: This NPRM proposes to remove the exclusion for welders or welding operators qualified by nondestructive testing from welding on compressor station pipe and components.
