KEARNEY, Neb., March 6 -- The University of Nebraska Kearney issued the following news release:

KEARNEY - Paige Oltmans of Davenport and John Placke of St. Libory will serve as the next student body president and vice president at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

They were elected Thursday and will take office April 17 during an inauguration ceremony on campus.

Oltmans is the current student body vice president, serving alongside Sam Schroeder of Seward. As student body president, she'll represent UNK as a student regent on the University of Nebraska Board of Regents and serve as the official student body representative to the administration and public.
