Today, U.S. Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) issued the following statement after Senate Republicans blocked a war powers resolution that he cosponsored to rein in Donald Trump's war against Iran:
"Thirteen American lives lost and tens of billions of taxpayer dollars spent in just three weeks since Donald Trump plunged us into war without Congressional authorization. There is still no plan, no clear justification, and no end in sight.
