U.S. Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif), Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), and Senators Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Angus King (I-Maine), and Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) led nine of their colleagues in launching an investigation into the Trump Administration's efforts to kill offshore wind energy projects and seeking answers from four offshore wind companies about the lease buyout agreements.
