BEAUMONT, Texas, Aug. 3 -- Lamar University issued the following news release:
Lamar Universitycelebrated the achievements of more than 900 graduates during its spring commencement ceremony Friday, July 31 at the Neches Federal Credit Union Arena at the Montagne Center.
"Our 967 graduates this weekend come from 11 countries outside of the United States, 33 states other than Texas, and 261 cities and towns in Texas," Provost and Vice President for Academic AffairsBrett Welchsaid during the ceremony.
