CARSON CITY, Nev., Aug. 18 -- Western Nevada College issued the following news release:
A $50,000 grant from NV Energy Foundation is helping Western Nevada College enhance
training opportunities and improve the student experience for participants in its
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) program offered through Continuing Education.
Secured through the Western Nevada College Foundation, the grant supports three major
improvements designed to strengthen hands-on instruction and create a more comfortable
and effective learning environment: construction of a protective shade structure for
outdoor skills training, upgraded furnishings for a newly dedicated Continuing Education
