WASHINGTON, July 16 -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued a proposed rule called: Modernizing Reactor Licensing, Safety Oversight, and Siting Practices.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 16 by Jody Martin, Secretary of the Commission.

Summary: Consistent with Executive Order 14300, "Ordering the Reform of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, " the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is conducting a review and wholesale revision of its regulations.
