The notice was published in the Federal Register on Feb. 27 by Carrie Safford, Secretary of the Commission.
Summary: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has accepted for review and docketed the first part of a phased construction permit (CP) application, including a limited work authorization (LWA) request, submitted by SMR, LLC (SMR), a Holtec International Company, for a dual-unit SMR-300 plant located at the Palisades Energy Center (PEC) in Covert, Michigan.
