NEWARK, N.J., Aug. 20 -- New Jersey Institute of Technology issued the following news release:
By 2030, as many as 12 million metric tons of electric and hybrid vehicle batteries could reach the end of their first useful life worldwide each year.
Now, NJIT researchers are helping New Jersey become the first state to answer a question: How can retired electric vehicle batteries be safely managed at scale?
