Today, U.S. Senators Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla (both D-Calif.) announced that airports across California will receive nearly $109 million in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants to modernize airport infrastructure, improve safety, and strengthen California's aviation system.
The grants for 51 airports from the FAA's Airport Improvement Program (AIP) will support projects including runway and taxiway rehabilitation, airport noise mitigation, terminal construction, safety improvements, passenger boarding bridges, lighting upgrades, and other critical airport infrastructure.
