As President Trump's war with Iran continues to escalate, Colorado farmers are paying the price at the pump. According to a new report (https://www.jec.senate.gov/public/_cache/files/37b255b8-91d9-43b0-8041-6b0d90cd150f/final---jec-fact-sheet-on-diesel-farming-costs.pdf) by the Joint Economic Committee Minority, Colorado farmers have spent significantly more on diesel compared to last year, including:
* $1,680 more to fill up their onsite fuel tank - a common way that farmers buy and store diesel fuel - compared to the same high point during the 2025 planting season.
* $224 more to fill up a typical grain truck.
* $273 more to fill up a typical tractor.
