NEW GRASSLEY-AUTHORED LAW DELIVERS SUPPORT FOR VICTIMS OF IDENTITY THEFT

WASHINGTON, Oct. 13 -- Sen. Chuck Grassley issued the following news release:

BUTLER COUNTY, IOWA - A bipartisan bill authored by U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) to assist Iowans impacted by identity theft was signed into law last week. The Improving Social Security's Service to Victims of Identity Theft Act, cosponsored by U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.), supports victims by strengthening and streamlining the process for Americans whose Social Security numbers have been stolen. Grassley and Hassan both serve on the U.S. Senate Finance Committee.
