WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: University of Nebraska State Museum, Lincoln, NE.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on Sept. 16 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.
Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the University of Nebraska State Museum intends to repatriate a certain cultural item that meet the definition of a sacred object and that has a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
