NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ISSUES NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENDED REPATRIATION: LONGYEAR MUSEUM OF ANTHROPOLOGY, COLGATE UNIVERSITY, HAMILTON, NY

WASHINGTON, May 5 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: Longyear Museum of Anthropology, Colgate University, Hamilton, NY.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on May 5 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.

Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Longyear Museum of Anthropology (LMA) at Colgate University intends to repatriate a certain cultural item that meets the definition of an object of cultural patrimony and that has a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
