WASHINGTON, April 30 -- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a rule called: Atlantic Highly Migratory Species; 2026 Atlantic Shark Commercial Fishing Year.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on April 30 by Samuel D. Rauch, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Regulatory Programs, National Marine Fisheries Service.
Summary: In this action, NMFS adjusts the base annual commercial quotas for the 2026 Atlantic shark commercial fishing year as allowable based on underharvests from the 2025 fishing year.
