NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: REEF FISH FISHERY OF THE GULF OF AMERICA; SHALLOW-WATER GROUPER MANAGEMENT MEASURES

WASHINGTON, March 18 -- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Reef Fish Fishery of the Gulf of America; Shallow-Water Grouper Management Measures.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on March 18 by Samuel D. Rauch, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Regulatory Programs, National Marine Fisheries Service.

Summary: NMFS proposes to implement management measures described in a framework action under the Fishery Management Plan for the Reef Fish Resources of the Gulf (FMP), as prepared by the Gulf Council (Council).
