NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: ENDANGERED AND THREATENED WILDLIFE AND PLANTS; 12-MONTH FINDING ON A PETITION TO LIST THE SMALLTAIL SHARK (CARCHARHINUS POROSUS) AS THREATENED OR ENDANGERED UNDER THE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT

WASHINGTON, July 28 -- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; 12-Month Finding on a Petition To List the Smalltail Shark (Carcharhinus porosus) as Threatened or Endangered Under the Endangered Species Act.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 28 by Samuel D. Rauch III, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Regulatory Programs, National Marine Fisheries Service.
