U.S. Senators Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) and U.S. Representative Mary Gay Scanlon (D-Pa.-5) on Monday introduced the Take Back Our Hospitals Act (https://www.murphy.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/the_take_back_our_hospitals_act1.pdf), a bill to effectively ban private equity ownership of hospitals and nursing homes by making them ineligible to receive Medicare funding. U.S. U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) co-sponsored the legislation in the Senate.
