U.S. Senator Ben Ray Lujan (D-N.M.), a stroke survivor, introduced the Stroke Act, legislation to improve stroke prevention, treatment, recovery, and data collection across the United States. The legislation would invest in research, strengthen emergency response and rehabilitation services, expand access to telestroke care, establish a national stroke registry, and launch a nationwide public education campaign to help people recognize stroke symptoms and seek lifesaving treatment.
