Today, U.S. Senator Ben Ray Lujan (D-N.M.), a member of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and U.S. Representative Teresa Leger Fernandez (D-N.M.), Ranking Member of the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Indian Affairs, announced that the Bureau of Reclamation has expedited the release of $120 million in funding for the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project from its Reclamation Water Settlements Fund.
