WASHINGTON, Aug. 10 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management issued the following press release:
FLOWOOD, Miss. - The Department of the Interior is advancing American Energy Dominance by transferring a 3‑acre parcel in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, to support development of a new liquefied natural gas hub along the Gulf Coast. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum signed Public Land Order 7969, officially transferring management of the land to the Bureau of Land Management.
The parcel, located at the mouth of the Calcasieu River, was used by the United States Coast Guard as a lighthouse beacon, later known as Calcasieu Radio Beacon Station, since 1875, and is no longer needed.
