WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) and Congressman Mark Amodei (NV-02)introduced the bipartisan Jimmy Deal Trafficking Survivors Assistance Act. This legislation will help survivors of human trafficking access air travel to escape and get the care they need. The companion bill was introduced in the Senate by Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and Jerry Moran (R-KS).
The legislation recognizes the late TSA officer James "Jimmy" Deal, who took the role of Assistant Federal Security Director in the Reno-Tahoe International Airport and led the effort to raise awareness of human trafficking at the airport, while also working with agen...
