Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement on tonight's House vote on the Kids Internet and Digital Safety (KIDS) Act.
"For too long, Big Tech has chosen to place profits before the health and safety of children," said Larson. "We have all seen the harm social media algorithms pose - pushing violent, inappropriate, and disturbing content toward children, keeping our kids scrolling on their phones for hours. Families deserve action from their leaders that protects kids from these dangers. Unfortunately, tonight's bill falls short.
