U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), co-chair of the Canada-U.S. Inter-Parliamentary Group, released the following statement on the Administration's new tariffs on Canadian goods and Canada's retaliatory tariffs.
"Once again, the President's tariffs are raising costs and increasing uncertainty for families, farmers, workers, and small businesses.
I was one of the lead sponsors of the bill to overturn the tariffs on Canada that successfully passed the U.S. Senate. Canada is Minnesota's top trading partner and our economies and communities are deeply connected. We have always been able to work through our differences and find solutions that benefit both countries. ...
