Joanna King (R-Middlebury) issued the following statementin response to the Indiana Attorney General's announcement that Indiana and other states reached a settlement with Meta Platforms, Inc., to pay the state up to $419 million and implement safety reforms for children on Facebook and Instagram. King co-authored a new law during the 2026 legislative session that creates a framework to protect minors on social media, including parental consent for children under age 16 to open accounts and restrictions on harmful features.
