WASHINGTON, May 20 -- Sen. John Kennedy issued the following press release:
Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced Louisiana will receive $1,869,915 million in federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for disaster recovery efforts and repairs in south Louisiana communities impacted by Hurricanes Laura, Ida and Francine.
"Hurricanes Laura, Ida and Francine are natural disasters that have deeply impacted communities across our state. This $1.9 million will help south Louisiana-including folks in Jefferson, St. John the Baptist and Calcasieu Parishes-rebuild and cover the costs of these severe storms," said Kennedy.
