Today, Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37), Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on South and Central Asia, and Rep. Gregory Meeks (NY-05), Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, sent a letter to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick demanding answers on the financial conflicts of interest surrounding the department's decision to significantly loosen export controls on the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
