WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) released the following statement regarding President Donald Trump's decision to impose tariffs on everyday goods from 86 countries under Section 301:
"President Trump promised to lower costs, but he's done everything but that. In addition to his budget-busting war in Iran, he imposed tariffs that have raised costs across the board for American families and businesses. Although the Supreme Court struck down many of his tariffs, President Trump refuses to take the off-ramp.
