JULY NET TAX REVENUES UP 3.1%

ATLANTA, Aug. 7 -- Gov. Brian P. Kemp issued the following press release:

ATLANTA - The State of Georgia's net tax collections for the first month of Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 totaled $2.57 billion, an increase of $78.1 million, or 3.1%, compared to July of last year (FY 2026) when net tax collections totaled roughly $2.49 billion.The changes within the following tax categories account for July's overall net tax revenue increase:Individual Income Tax: Individual Income Tax collections for the month decreased by $27.1 million, or 2.1%, from a total of nearly $1.27 billion in July 2025 (FY 2026).The following notable components within Individual Income Tax combine for the net decrease:Individual Income Tax refunds issued (net of voided checks) d...
