FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., Sept. 4 -- The University of Arkansas issued the following news release:
The U of A opened the fall semester with a record incoming class of more than 7,100 students. The freshman class also boasts a 3.87 average incoming GPA, the highest in school history.
"This year's freshman class is the largest and most academically accomplished group of incoming students in our history," said Suzanne McCray, vice provost for enrollment and dean of admission.
