BLACKSBURG, Va., March 5 -- Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University issued the following news release:

Warren R. Kark, professor emeritus of architecture and former university architect at Virginia Tech, died on Dec. 1, 2025.

Kark was a member of the architecture faculty from 1966-2002 and was named professor emeritus of architecture in November 2002. During his 36 years at the university, he distinguished himself as a dedicated educator, accomplished practitioner, and visionary planner.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a bachelor's degree in architecture, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received a Master of Architecture, Kark was a dedicated teacher in design laboratories and ...
