U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) spoke on the Senate floor in support of passing a two-week continuing resolution (CR) to continue negotiations on Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding. She also addressed the Ranking Member of the DHS Appropriations Subcommittee, Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), after he objected to her proposal to continue negotiations for the American people.

On Republicans' good faith efforts to fund DHS:
