Last week, a bipartisan resolution annually led by U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) designating August 21 as "Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day" unanimously passed the U.S. Senate. The bipartisan push aims to raise awareness around dangers of fentanyl, highlight prevention efforts, encourage drug-free lifestyles and recognize the lives lost to drug overdoses.
