NEWTON, N.J., July 14 -- Sussex County Community College issued the following news release:
Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is proud to announce that two graduates of its High School Equivalency (HSE) Program have been awarded the only two New Jersey Association for Lifelong Learning (NJALL) Scholarships presented statewide this year, an extraordinary achievement that highlights both the determination of the students and the excellence of the College's Adult Education program.
The scholarship recipients are:
Jairo (Jay) Hernandes, an HSE graduate currently enrolled at SCCC and serving as a Student Ambassador.
Elisangela (Lisa) Silva, an HSE graduate who will begin the College's Culinary Arts program this September.
