This week, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (D-TX-29) Congressman Al Green (D-TX-09), Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (D-TX-07), and Congressman Christian Menefee (D-TX-18) sent a letter to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin and Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director David J. Venturella demanding an immediate, fully independent, and transparent investigation into the killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo by an ICE agent in Houston's Magnolia Park neighborhood.
