WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 -- Sen. John Hoeven issued the following news release:
Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee and a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, today issued the following statement after the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the availability of $150 million of assistance for sugar producers. Hoeven worked with the Trump administration to make this assistance available, similar to the Farmer Bridge Assistance (FBA) program that began in December. USDA will work with sugar processors to deliver assistance to farmer-members.
