Today, U.S. Senators John Hickenlooper (D-Colo.), Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), and Gary Peters (D-Mich.) called on (https://www.hickenlooper.senate.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Letter-to-Secretary-Burgum-on-Investigation-of-Firefighter-Deaths-10-02-2026.pdf) the Department of the Interior to investigate the policies that preceded the deaths of four Rifle Interagency Helitack Crew members responding to the Gore and Knowles Fires on June 27th.
