HERNANDEZ-BAQUERO SWEARS IN AS DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE SPACE ACQUISITION AND INTEGRATION LEAD

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio, Aug. 24 -- The U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology issued the following news release:

Dr. Erich "HB" Hernandez-Baquero was sworn in as the second Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration during a Pentagon ceremony this morning, following his confirmation to the role by the U.S. Senate, Aug. 7.

Prior to his confirmation, Hernandez-Baquero worked as the Vice President for space intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance at RTX following a successful Air Force career having held leadership positions at the National Reconnaissance Office. In this new role, he becomes the service acquisition executive for space programs within the Department of the Air Force.
