U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), a member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, and Ben Ray Lujan (D-N.M.), a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, sent a letter to U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Deputy Secretary Stephen Vaden demanding answers on USDA's reorganization of the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS).
