BUTLER COUNTY, IOWA - On Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day, U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) are driving awareness of the dangers of fentanyl and continuing to educate Americans on how to best protect themselves from the deadly drug. The U.S. Senate unanimously passed the senators' bipartisan resolution earlier this month, designating August 21, 2026, as Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day.
