U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), Katie Britt (R-Alabama) and Eric Schmitt (R-Missouri) this week introduced the White House Safety and Security Act of 2026, which provides funding for the construction of the presidential ballroom in the East Wing of the White House.

In light of the shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner and multiple assassination attempts against President Trump, this legislation sets aside the necessary resources to upgrade the presidential ballroom and strengthen the White House's security infrastructure.
