DES MOINES, Sept. 3 -- The Office of the Governor issued the following news release:
Governor Kim Reynolds today announced the completion of the final report from the Iowa Nuclear Energy Task Force, which was established in January to evaluate opportunities for advancing nuclear energy technologies and infrastructure in Iowa.
The task force, established by Executive Order 17, brought together representatives from utilities, power generation companies, local government, academia, the Iowa Utilities Commission, the trades, a national laboratory and the General Assembly to examine Iowa's role in the growing nuclear energy sector. The executive order directed the Iowa Economic Development Authority's Energy Office to staff the task force.
