GOV. REYNOLDS ISSUES DISASTER PROCLAMATION FOR FOUR COUNTIES IN RESPONSE TO SEVERE WEATHER

DES MOINES, July 6 -- The Office of the Governor issued the following news release:

GovernorKim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for Jasper, Osceola,Polk, and Story Countiesin response to severe weather that occurred onJune 29, 2026, and continuing.

Governor Reynolds' proclamation allows state resources to beutilizedto respond to and recover from the effects of these stormsand activates theIowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and the Disaster Case Advocacy Programfor the affected counties.The proclamation is effectiveimmediatelyand will remain in effect for 30 days unlessterminatedor extended.
