Today, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD), announced $5,101,000 in grants to member organizations of the national NeighborWorks network headquartered in New York. NeighborWorks America is a public nonprofit organization established by Congress in 1978 that focuses on expanding affordable housing options, economic development and opportunity, and making neighborhoods safe.
