SCEHNECTADY, N.Y., July 21 -- Schenectady County Community College issued the following news release:
This month, Hema Singh, a Criminal Justice major, began her role as the Student Trustee.
Elected by the student body last semester, Hema is a voting member of the Board of
Trustees and will serve for one year. The other Trustees are appointed by the Schenectady
County Legislature and the Governor.
Hema is also a senior at Schenectady High School, earning her associate degree at
the College through the Early College High School Program. She began taking college
courses the summer before she entered ninth grade. She was on campus full time last
