FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 24 -- George Mason University issued the following news release:
George Mason University undergraduate enrollment will hit a new high this semester with the arrival of more than 7,400 incoming students, thousands of whom packed into EagleBank Arena on Friday for New Student Convocation.
The incoming class includes about 4,300 new freshmen and more than 3,100 transfer students-a school record for transfers-including 950 transitioning from theADVANCE Program partnership with Northern Virginia Community College. The ADVANCE total also is a record.
